The elimination of the use of fossil fuels – petroleum heating oil, natural gas, and propane are among the US Government’s priorities. In order to meet carbon targets (a 40% reduction by 2030 and an 80% reduction by 2050), the northeastern states’ strategic plans call for the use of biofuels, which are crucial to meeting their goals.
BioHeat® is made from America’s most advanced biofuel: biodiesel. Blending varying amounts of biodiesel with heating oil will reduce atmospheric carbon emissions. A 20% blend provides a 16% reduction. Increasing the blend to 50% will reduce carbon emissions by 40%.
Will this drive to Zero Carbon Power mean the demise of your business in your lifetime?
Not if you get on board to adopt bioheat energy as a necessity to maintain and grow your business. This is a tide you cannot turnback … but by learning what you need to do and following state and federal mandates, you can not only survive, but thrive!
Just this month, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has mandated that disclosures to the end users must be made on delivery tickets and billing documents.
There are requirements, however.
“Upon delivery of eligible liquid biofuel, all biofuel distributors must provide a BioFuel Disclosure directly to their customers via an invoice or delivery receipt, or other document as approved by the MA Department of Energy Resources (DOER).”
The documentation must state the percentage or range of eligible liquid biofuels being delivered. The documentation must be exact, and the wording must be approved by the DOER.
This mandate takes effect IMMEDIATELY.
Delivery receipts and/or invoices must be revised to include this disclosure. According to Michael Ferrante, Executive Director of MA Energy Marketers Association (MEMA), if retailers want to work through existing stock of delivery tickets, they must include a card or note with the delivery ticket with the language that is now required.
We have the solution.
Enōsis Graphic Solutions has been working with energy distributors to meet the requirements of this mandate and can seamlessly revise your delivery tickets and invoices or provide a card to accompany these documents.
We’ll meet with you to determine the best way to proceed and provide you with the required documents. In addition, we have prepared an article that you can download, print, and distribute to your customers to answer their questions about biofuels.
